Englewood Lions Club members become like a family. The leadership roles change periodically but the foundation of our vision and mission and goals remains the same -- to serve the Englewood community and its citizens to the best of our ability to promote a healthy and happy environment for us all.
Bonnie Barlow - President 2021: Bonnie has been a member of the Englewood Lions Club for 4 years. In 2019-2020 she was the vice president of the club to Charlie Cockriel, President. Bonnie's skills with social media, graphics, writing and communications, organizing, as well as coming up with new and creative ideas, have helped the club evolve into a more inclusive, informative, and involved entity. She has volunteered for events such as painting the IFCS food bank area and singing at the adult daycare center.
Charlie Cockriel -Served as Englewood Lions President from July 2019 to June 2021: Charlie joined Denver Lions Club in January 2014 and transferred to Englewood Lions Club in January of 2018. Charlie spent his first 1-1/2 years volunteering with Englewood Lions at the annual Englewood Easter Egg Hunt, Lions-Anthem Volunteer Days - Foodbank of the Rockies as well as Integrated Family Community Services to name a few. He has been instrumental in and taking a lead on promoting and securing donations for the annual Englewood Service Club Golf Tournament later changed to the Englewood Lions Club Rip-Roaring Top Golf Tournament. As President he has promoted our involvement with IFCS and was able to secure the $5,000 Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance Emergency Community Support Grant presented to IFCS through his insurance agency. He continues to promote Lions involvement in the Englewood community and is instrumental in raising funds for our various causes. He also serves as a Success Coach for Change The Trend currently working with a prior homeless individual with cataract surgery so see to succeed.
Gary Condreay: Tail Twister - Ever the jokester, long-time Lion Gary's laid back attitude and get 'er done spirit are a big part of the personality of Englewood Lions Club.
Tim Dodd: Tim Dodd- Tim Dodd joined the Englewood Lions in the spring of 2021 after being active in other civic clubs in Massachusetts and California. Professionally, Tim serves as the Assistant City Manager of the City of Englewood where he oversees the IT, Finance and HR Departments and coordinates city-wide initiatives such as homelessness and sustainability.
Mike Flaherty: Michael Flaherty has been an Englewood Lions Club member since 1999. He has been President, Foundation Treasurer and Foundation Board Member. Mike is semi-retired and is the former Englewood Deputy City Manager. Every summer Mike is kept busy with his work as a Managing Partner of the Ozarks Amphitheater.
Gail Hamilton: Gail has been an Englewood Lion since 2011 and has served as president from 2015 - 2017. Service projects she has participated in include: Handed out trees for Arbor Day to 4th graders, Rang the bell for Salvation Army, Played piano and sang for various lion and community functions including a valentines party at Julia Temple, Organized partnerships, fundraisers and service projects, Implemented field trips to Anchor Preschool for the Blind, Colorado Talking Book Library, and Phamaly, Highlights include traveling to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2015 to attend the USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum, and Organize and emcee the May 14, 2016 Englewood Lion's 90th Charter birthday celebration. “Being a lion has helped me acquire leadership skills, gain Self-confidence, and be of service to others. The lions have assisted me in financing my Seeing Eye dogs, going to Atlantic City for the Ms. Senior America pageant, and publishing

Dave Newman: Dave Newman, a local optometrist, joined Englewood Lions Club in February 1987. He is a native of Denver, attended Denver Public Schools, ultimately graduating from Abraham Lincoln H.S. After attending the University of Colorado, Boulder, he enrolled at Southern California College of Optometry, graduating in 1984. As an eye doctor, being able to help provide eye exams and glasses to students in Englewood and Sheridan, as a major project of Englewood Lions, has been one of his greatest accomplishments. Dr. Newman has served in many roles in Lions Club over the years, including President and, more recently, Secretary, a position he continues to hold to this day.
Tamra Palmer: Long-time member just received her 25-year pin (I think - update)
Dan Percefull: Dan joined Lions in 2000, following his father's example as he had served for over 50 years as an Englewood Lion. The club has contributed in many great ways to the Englewood community ever since its inception in 1926. Dan has been involved in building the first baseball fields and park where the now defunct Cinderella City was, and a small-scale train that travels through several tunnels and makes a circle to climb the hill. To this day kids enjoy the ride through Belleview Park. As the club's treasurer, Dan takes the motto: "We Serve" to heart and provides much needed guidance and service in this and many other ways.
